Tim Wheeler: Pastor
Our pastor, along with his wife Sheree, began serving at Olive Branch in 2000. He spent eleven years in law enforcement locally before entering into full-time vocational ministry. Tim and Sheree have three grown sons and are expecting their seventh grandchild. A graduate of East Carolina University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Tim served locally as a youth minister while earning his degree. After six years of youth ministry, he answered God’s call to serve as pastor at Olive Branch.
Hugh O’Shields: Music Minister
Hugh answered the call to serve as the Minister of Music at Olive Branch in 2010. Prior to that he served in various local churches for over 34 years. Hugh graduated from Mars HIll with a BA in Music. Upon graduating, he enrolled at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity with Religious Education and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Ministry. Hugh enjoys a large family and has been blessed with 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Jesse Hembree: Youth Minister
Jesse is originally from the mountains just outside of Asheville, NC. He has a BA in Christian Studies from Campbell University and is currently studying at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jesse is married to his best friend and ministry partner, Caroline. Together they love to invest in and disciple students to fulfill God’s calling on their lives.
